Sectors we detail for
Every figure below is counted from packages already detailed and issued — schools and hospitals through to foundry platforms and stair cores.

Schools, campus additions and nursing colleges — long-span framing over gyms and assembly space, phased to match a summer shutdown.

Clinics, surgery centres and care facilities where slab openings, equipment loads and hanger framing have to be right the first time.

Supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and mixed-use shells — repetitive bays, tight schedules and canopy or storefront steel.

Fire stations, county buildings and community facilities delivered against public procurement schedules.

Foundry platforms, precipitator structures and plant access steel detailed around existing equipment and live operations.

Stairs, handrails, ladders, cover rails and plate work — the packages that decide whether a building feels finished.
What we do
Member-by-member fabrication drawings and erection plans that carry every dimension the shop floor and the crane crew need.
The structure is modelled and checked in SDS/2 before a single sheet is issued, so clashes surface on screen — not on site.
Connection design calculations and tracked connection design, coordinated with the EOR when the scope calls for it.
Detailing estimates, advanced bill of material, joist listing, deck layout and a detailing schedule you can plan procurement against.
Stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms and plate work detailed to the same tolerance as the primary frame.
CNC, DXF and KISS files, Tekla EPM status transfers, Fabtrol and EJE exports, plus material summaries.
How a package runs
Seven steps, each with something you can actually hold — an estimate, a bill of material, a checked model, a drawing set. Nothing is issued on trust alone.
You send the contract drawings, specification and schedule. We read the set, list what is missing, and confirm the scope before quoting.
Hours, tonnage and a delivery calendar priced against your fabrication sequence — not a flat rate that ignores how the job is built.
The ABM is issued first so mill orders and long-lead material can be placed while detailing continues.
The frame is modelled member by member with connections applied, so clashes and misfits surface on screen instead of in the yard.
Connections are designed or tracked against the engineer's schedule, and every open question goes out as a numbered RFI with a log.
Fabrication drawings, erection plans, bolt and joist lists, deck layouts and gather drawings — checked by a second detailer before release.
CNC, DXF and KISS files, Tekla EPM status transfers, Fabtrol and EJE exports and material summaries, matched to your shop's equipment.
Selected work
From a 25-ton retail shell to a 1,080-ton foundry, every package is modelled, checked and issued by the same in-house team. Open a project to inspect the complete image at its original resolution.
Every package includes
The list on the right is the standard scope of work — estimate through to machine files. Anything outside it is quoted before it is started, not added afterwards.

Why choose us
To be a trusted partner within the construction industry by providing accurate, timely, and cost effective structural steel detailing services with fabrication practices and erection safety in mind.
Customer Success, Team Spirit, On-time Delivery, Successful Execution, Increased Efficiency, Detailing Expertise, Resolving Complexities, Team Spirit.
Detailing follows AISC and NISD practice with OSHA erection safety carried into the drawings, and every sheet is checked by a second detailer against the model before it leaves the office.
Before you send drawings
Anything not covered here — software versions, file naming, shop standards, approval routing — is worth a five minute call before the estimate.
ganesh@irontechdetailing.comPrimary modelling and drawing production is in SDS/2. Deliverables export to CNC, DXF and KISS formats, with status transfer reports for Tekla EPM and exports for Fabtrol and EJE, so the files drop straight into your shop's workflow.
Yes. Stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, cover rails and plate work are detailed to the same tolerance as the primary structure, and can be taken as a standalone package.
Detailing follows AISC and NISD practice, with OSHA requirements carried through erection safety items such as perimeter cable holes, seats and stability connections. Job-specific fabrication standards are set up before drawings start.
We provide connection design calculations where that sits in our scope, and track engineer-designed connections against the approval schedule where it does not. Either way the connection status is visible in the model.
Drawings are checked by a second detailer against the model and the contract documents before release. Checking is a separate step with its own hours in the estimate — not something absorbed into detailing time.
Structural and architectural drawings, the specification, approximate tonnage, and your target dates for approval and fabrication. If the set is incomplete we will say what is missing rather than pad the estimate.
Every question is issued as a numbered RFI and tracked in a log with dates and responses. Revisions are re-issued with clouded changes and a revision history so the shop always knows which sheet is current.
The team runs to your fabrication calendar. Work issued at the end of your day is picked up the same night, so review comments and RFI answers typically turn around by your next morning.
